Terms and Conditions
All online orders take full payment at time of booking - if you wish to pay a deposit then please select QUOTE as a payment option.
Deposits required for bookings are a minimum $50 per order up to 25% of order total which ever is greater.
For bookings less than $50 full payment is required upon booking
Maximum deposit required at booking $250
Deposits are due within 5working days to secure your booking
AFTERPAY - If you require to use Afterpay as payment method this can only be used at the time of booking, We are unable to quote you, take a deposit then process Afterpay after this for remaining payment. Please ensure you select the correct payment method suitable to you.
REMAINING PAYMENT
Remaining payments must be paid in full 7days prior to your event. Any finale payment paid after this without prior discussion may be canceled and is at the discretion of IVY BLACK.
Alternatively balances are welcomed in full at time of booking
Any balances remaining unpaid after event date incur an additional 10% every 30days until balance is paid.
OUT OF TOWN HIRES
A bond charge of $100 Is applicable for all hires outside of the Canterbury region. We allow weekend hire length to run from Thursday-Tuesday pending availability to allow for travel and set up time. We also require photo identification to be noted.
SELF HIRE COLLECTIONS
Collections and returns are available from our warehouse located in Kaiapoi Thursdays, Fridays and Mondays between the hours of 4.30pm-5.30pm
Outside of these hours are by appointment only.
Please ensure to stick to your allocated time slot.
Should you not have suitable transportation upon collection IVY BLACK EVENTS reserves the right to either cancel booking or charge a late service delivery charge of $25 in addition to our delivery costs to deliver your item.

DELIVERY
We offer delivery on all bookings over $100 at a surcharge. This is calculated taking into consideration venue location and requested time. All delivery times are confirmed the week of event when finalising all upcoming bookings on that day. Whilst we do our best to take into consideration your desired time, set up may require to be earlier than expected to allow set ups for other bookings.

Please advise in your booking what time you have access to your chosen venue and what time your event starts.
STYLING
Styling is what we love to do, tell us your vision and plans. Leave the rest to us. Styling/set ups incur a surcharge pending the level of your event.
CANCELATIONS & POSTPONEMENTS
If for any reason you wish to cancel your booking, a credit note that is non transferable for cash will be issued of all funds paid by you to be used within 12 months of cancelation with the exception of terms below
- All cancelations and postponements within 60 days of event forfeit any monies paid and not eligible for a credit note.
- All cancelations and postponements within 7 days of event incur a full hire charge payable within 30days - Failure to pay will result in debt being issued to a third party agency for collection which may add on additional costs.
CHANGE OF MIND
If for any reason you wish to change and swap the items you have hired, please get in touch with us as soon as possible. Pending stock availability we are able to change your booking up to ONE week prior to the event. Excluding custom set ups.
DAMAGED ITEMS
Whilst we understand hire items can incur general wear and tear, intentional misuse of items which causes damage - It is at the discretion of IVY BLACK EVENTS to collect FULL REPLACEMENT or REPAIR cost.
Deliberate harm and sabotage of items may result in FULL REPLACEMENT cost to the HIRER.
All items are on a HIRE base only for up to 3 days unless otherwise specified.
By confirming your booking and paying the deposit the HIRER agrees to all hire terms stipulated in this contract. The HIRER agrees to be solely responsible for items hired whilst in their possession and takes full responsibility for any damages that may occur during transportation and event.
The HIRER agrees to not SUB HIRE items to another person unless prior written arrangement.
IVY BLACK reserves the right to cancel any booking with full refund provided of monies paid should deem necessary if event imposes any risk to items hired or staff for set ups.
Whilst we ensure our items to be of the best quality - at times we do receive damaged hire stock which may affect your booking - Should this situation arise and we are unable to offer an alternative item IVY BLACK EVENTS is not liable for any compensation payable to the HIRER for items other than a refund of said product.
All items are tested and photographed prior to each hire - If any product is found to be faulty upon hire please contact us immediately to remedy. IVY BLACK EVENTS is not responsible or liable for refund if notified of faulty item after event date.
All items hired are intent for indoor purposes only unless written consent for outdoors is accepted.
SPONSORED EVENTS
We love to get behind great causes and donated our items for hire.
Delivery charges may be applicable pending location.
Should IVY BLACK EVENTS sponsor your event with stying free of charge you agree to supply IVY BLACK EVENTS with 6 photographs of items donated and review within 4 weeks post event.
Failure to do so will incur a full invoice payable to IVY BLACK EVENTS of items donated to be payable within 30days of notice.
